The Bengal Tiger is one of the largest tiger subspecies, inhabiting mainly forests and grasslands of India, Bangladesh, Nepal, and Bhutan. Adult males can reach up to 3 metres in length and weigh over 220 kg. Bengal tigers are carnivores – they hunt deer, wild boar, and other large animals. Their characteristic stripes provide camouflage in the jungle, making them highly effective predators.
