RENEWABLE ENERGY SOURCES

SOLAR COLLECTOR – a device used to convert solar radiation into thermal energy, most commonly for water heating and central heating systems.

HYDROELECTRIC POWER PLANTS – the most widely used renewable energy source, converting the potential energy of water into electricity. They are relatively cost-effective, though limited by suitable locations, and they alter river flows with a strong environmental impact.

WIND POWER PLANT – a plant that generates electricity using wind turbines. Environmentally friendly, as no fuel is burned.

HEAT PUMP – uses natural energy sources such as air, soil, or water. The pump extracts heat and transfers it to buildings, forcing heat to flow from colder to warmer areas using external mechanical energy.

PHOTOVOLTAIC PANEL – a device made of interconnected photovoltaic cells used to generate electricity from sunlight.
